Journaling tips to get you started!

Like the idea of journaling but struggle to get started?
These tips are for you!

  1. Take the pressure off yourself. Your journal is for you and only you. It is not being presented to or judged by anyone else… Nor is anyone keeping tabs on how often you’re journaling or for how long.
  2. Create a space that inspires you to write and reflect. This might be as simple as some quiet alone time, relaxed on the lounge, or you might choose to set up a dedicated writing space. You might also like to take a notebook down to the beach or a park. Again, this will be something unique to you, & what space you can create.
  3. Start small. Just noting down one sentence about how you’re feeling or about something that has happened, or noting down the answer to one question can get the flow going. Pick a topic that you want to write about, it can be anything!
  4. Don’t give up. Keep experimenting until you find what works for you! Try morning, try night, try different settings. Your journal doesn’t even need words. If you’re not feeling the words and are more comfortable drawing, or scrapbooking, then explore and reflect this way!

Holding space for healing with Reiki

It’s is an absolute pleasure to hold space for my clients, & to support them in their own healing journey, to restore balance, gain clarity, feel lighter, and to enjoy some deep relaxation.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is a ‘hands on’ practice, that allows the universal energy to flow from me and through to you. Reiki is a simple and beautiful method of healing that treats your whole being including body, emotions, mind and spirit.

What can you expect from a Reiki healing session with me?
I start my 1 hour reiki sessions with an in-depth oracle card reading, before you hop up onto the massage table to receive approx. 30 minutes of reiki energy, either hands on or hovering directly above your body. I intuitively listen to your body, focusing the energy where needed to restore balance and support your healing process. As I work, & connect in with your energy, I will receive messages intuitively & will share these throughout the session with you, offering additional guidance & healing

Each persons experience is unique & it’s always amazing to hear how the energy is received for each person.

If you’ve never tried Reiki before & are searching for something more when it comes to relaxation, resetting your nervous system & body, or connection to yourself & your purpose, I encourage you to gift yourself a Reiki & Intuitive Guidance Session

Book in for your next Reiki session in my relaxing space in Coogee, South of Perth, or request a distant session. I look forward to holding space for you ✨

What is purpose?

Do you know what your purpose is?
Are you living out your purpose?
Or are their barriers to you living your purpose?

Your purpose doesn’t have to be all encompassing
You don’t need to know all the details
You don’t need to feel it in every single moment

Your purpose can be a knowing that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be
It can be in a job that you do, or a role that you play (parent, partner, grandparent, friend, listener, etc)

Your purpose can be in the simple
It can be in the WAY that you go about your daily life
It can be in the daily choices you make

Knowing your purpose can feel like a grounding, an anchoring to your self & your soul
It can feel like clarity & direction

We can still know our purpose & have those days where we feel lost (that is completely normal)
It is in that anchoring that we are reminded to come home to what we know & sense feels right for us

It has been through my own journey of rediscovering my purpose, & finding clarity & direction in my journey after becoming a parent, that I found my passion in supporting others to find their purpose

If you’re feeling a little lost, perhaps a bit unsure of who you are, or what you wish to do next
The best thing you can do is reach out for support
You deserve to live a life that has meaning to you, where there are more days when things feel right & in alignment, vs the opposite

Holding space for people to navigate their journeys is what I do & it would be a pleasure to hold space to support you to navigate yours
If you would love to know more about how we can work together, through my coaching or Reiki offerings, send me a message today
I’m ready when you are!

Mandalas: a cause for celebration

I am always so excited when one of my mandala painting workshops is gifted to someone, or is the centre of a celebration or team building event! Giving the gift of creativity, relaxation and connection is so thoughtful. With the added bonus of a lasting memory in a painting, a mandala painting workshop is beautifully unique.

A few recent examples include:

  • Best friends booking into a mandala painting workshop to celebrate a milestone birthday together
  • A couple receiving a voucher to attend a workshop as their wedding gift, complete with frames to finish off their pieces
  • A Corporate Team creating 5 large mandalas to celebrate the end of a big year
  • Christmas gift giving, with a daughter gifting her mother a workshop voucher

Giving an experience is such a unique gift. It always warms my heart when people enjoy their mandala painting workshop experiences so much that they want to gift it to their loved ones.

Over the years, I have been a part of many birthday celebrations and family bonding sessions. The energy in the room is always so fun, and there is always so much pride in the mandalas painted. It is extra special when the paintings also mark a celebration.

Do you have a special occasion coming up, such as Mother’s Day, a birthday, a hens, a wedding, team building event, Christmas etc.?
Why not consider gifting an experience, or incorporating some creativity into your unique event? I have a beautiful studio space located in Coogee, Perth, WA, to hold a group mandala painting workshop, or I can also travel to you!

What it took

And this is what it took

For family bonds to be restored

For homes to be taken care of

For those odd jobs to be done

And this is what it took

For puzzles to be dusted off

For forts to be built

For more books to be read

And this is what it took

For families to bake together

For our bodies to be nourished

For health to be prioritised

And this is what it took

For children to learn of boredom

For friendships to strengthen

For the birds to be heard

And this is what it took

For driveways to be played on

For rainbows to be drawn

For neighbours to connect

And this is what it took

For time in nature to be appreciated

For music to be enjoyed

For creativity to come alive

And this is what it took

For communities to unite

For Mother Earth to regenerate

For new ways to be discovered

And this is what it took

For the world to truly slow down

And if this is what it took…

What are we taking away from all of this?

💛

Lost

So you’re feeling a little disconnected,

Like you’ve wandered a little too far from your truth.

Unsure of your journey ahead.

Unsure of your hopes, dreams & passions.

Unsure of your circle.

Do not worry, for you are not alone. There is always someone who has been here before.

And not just once, for this can be a destination for many, on multiple occasions.

I myself have been here.

What do you do when you arrive at this destination?

Do you panic as though you have lost all sense of direction & have forgotten your map?

Possibly leading you further and further from where you intend to be.

Do you resist and stay put out of stubbornness or fear, not moving anywhere?

Or do you accept that this is where you are meant to be in this moment, no matter how brief this stop?

Do you allow yourself to feel the uncertainty?

To feel the disconnection from self?

Can you pause at your destination and look around at your surroundings –

How do they feel?

What feels safe?

As you calm your mind and allow your thoughts to gather

You will remember that there is someone you can call to help you on your way.

Who is that person who you can call on for guidance?

If you allow yourself enough space to breathe deeply, to calm the mind and open the heart, you will remember that you can be that person too.

You will remember that this is all part of the journey

You may be at a crossroads, with a change of destination ahead

You may have taken a detour and need to reconnect to get back on your way

You may have new places to discover or new paths that are opening

You may have needed to lose your way to remember where you wanted to go

Or you may be exactly where you need to be without realising it.

Whatever the journey, accept it.

For acceptance is key to transformation.

Trust it. And trust in yourself.

For if you ask yourself, you will have the answers.
