A mandala, in its circular shape, represents wholeness, unity and harmony, which are key elements to connection and collaboration. The circle symbolises bringing people together and provides a safe structure for exploring creativity in a painting process.

All public workshops are held south of Perth and are available to book into via Eventbrite.

If there are no suitable public dates available please join the waitlist below. We will contact you as soon as a date becomes available:

Simone’s Mandala Painting Workshops are a safe space to explore your creativity and connect with your unique self-expression. We will begin with some grounding exercises to ensure there are no barriers to the creative process. We then use high quality acrylic paints and other tools to create your masterpiece. No prior painting experience is required, and all materials will be provided.

Choose from a 2-hour (15cm x 15cm), 3-hour (25cm x 25cm), or a full day (48cm x 48cm) mandala painting workshop. Watch the creative process unfold and be amazed at how unique each person’s masterpiece turns out to be! See the Mandala Gallery and Reviews of mandalas that have been painted in Simone’s workshops over the past 5 years.

Painting as a team activity creates a platform for communication and connection. It also allows for exploration of the different styles within each team, as each person will have a unique approach to the activity. Painting in a group, i.e., multiple people working on a large mandala painting together, caters to team members who may not wish to fully partake in a painting experience. It allows them to still feel included in the activity, observing and encouraging their team members.  The room will be buzzing with creative energy! There can be some friendly rivalry between teams as team members walk around the room to observe the process unfolding at the other tables.

On a very special trip to Melbourne in January 2018, my soul sister booked me into one of Karen Scott’s One Day Wonder Workshops at Mandala Magic. I had not painted in a very long time and was incredibly nervous! At the end of the workshop, I was so proud of my unique masterpiece. I came home, enrolled in an acrylic painting course and I haven’t stopped painting Mandalas since. The more I painted, the more I knew that I wanted to share this beautiful experience with others.

Not only is a Mandala a sacred symbol, but creating a Mandala brings part of our unconscious mind to our consciousness, reflecting our current state. Personally, I find that a Mandala offers a safe structure for those who are nervous about painting without experience. You can absorb yourself completely in the process of creating them, making an excellent mindfulness exercise. They are also beautiful pieces upon completion that tell a personal story.

I am so passionate about holding space for others to connect with their creativity and to find some calm in their lives. Seeing a group completely absorbed in the process of creating their masterpieces makes my heart sing. I love watching the creative journey unfold and hearing many surprised by the colours and shapes they choose. The pride reflected on everyone’s faces as they take their mandalas away to be displayed in the home or office is very special.

Art is so powerful. We can’t underestimate the power of creating, big or small.
